Description

Now featuring a new introduction by Dr. M. Scott Peck, the twenty-fifth anniversary edition of the classic bestseller The Road Less Traveled, celebrated by The Washington Post as “not just a book but a spontaneous act of generosity.”

Perhaps no book in this generation has had a more profound impact on our intellectual and spiritual lives than The Road Less Traveled. With sales of more than seven million copies in the United States and Canada, and translations into more than twenty-three languages, it has made publishing history, with more than ten years on the New York Times bestseller list.

Written in a voice that is timeless in its message of understanding, The Road Less Traveled continues to help us explore the very nature of loving relationships and leads us toward a new serenity and fullness of life. It helps us learn how to distinguish dependency from love; how to become a more sensitive parent; and ultimately how to become one’s own true self.

Recognizing that, as in the famous opening line of his book, “Life is difficult” and that the journey to spiritual growth is a long one, Dr. Peck never bullies his readers, but rather guides them gently through the hard and often painful process of change toward a higher level of self-understanding.

This book untapped areas of my mind I never knew existed. After reading I became present, more in sync with the path I needed to be verses the path I was on due to convenience. Highly recommend it, though provoker to say the least, simple ideas and concepts that can reshape the way your living your life altogether.
  • Deep and sophisticated

What Albert Einstein did for science, Scott Peck did for psychology. How deep and sophisticated he goes into topics barely regular people are aware of, yet live with them day in day out, is beyond explanation.

This book is for everyone. Amazing insight for every age into the human brain, human connection, and how to tap into our best self. I can't wait to give away copies to friends and family! Peck is brilliant and readable for both those interested in case studies as well as those seeking an interesting spiritual read. He covers every base, I'm rereading it again :)

This book has the potential to change your life. If you are having relationship problems, money problems, job problems, this book can help you. But it is not guaranteed to help you. Why? Because it's up to you whether you take from this book, or not. So when you read this book, keep an open mind, and keep at it. Dr. Peck can go on in his own train of thought at times, and it may be difficult to follow, but if you keep at it, you'll hop on his train of thought, and have no problem. I can't recommend this book enough. If everyone on this planet read it, we would have a far more intelligent and happier world.
