Description

Teddy King excels at many things. Playing hockey. Check. Scoring on and off the ice. Check. Being stupidly attractive ... Double check.

Despite his demanding schedule, he still finds time to annoy me. I knew him way back when. Before he was the guy everyone wanted a piece of, he was just a rebellious college co-ed and one of my more energetic study partners.

But secrets have a way of getting out, and a steamy encounter from our college days (that we probably shouldn't have filmed) is about to cause a major scandal. Unless we can work together to stop it.

Teddy’s no stranger to hard work … but the thing he wants most?

Is me.

Note: This high-heat standalone is chock-full of scorching banter and steamy good times. He's a testosterone-dripping hockey player who wants a second chance. She's a tough as nails attorney intent on making partner. Frienemies to lovers. No cliffhanger. Enjoy!

Your favorite hot jocks are back with an all-new standalone novel. If you like sexy, confident men who know how to handle a stick (on and off the ice), and smart women who are strong enough to keep all those big egos in check, this series is for you!

(Books can be enjoyed in any order.)

Great story but a little rushed. Very short for the price of the book.

The Hot Jocks series by author Kendall Ryan just keeps getting better, book by book. And, while I thoroughly enjoyed the first two stories, I think that TRYING TO SCORE might just be my favorite installment yet. Second-chance romances sometimes start out sticky or angsty, but, apart from the 'oh, heck' situation that truly brings Teddy and Sara back together, these two really just segué back into more than friends so very easily. I really appreciate that Teddy sees what a strongly self-sufficient and independent woman Sara is, and that he admires her all the more. And that Sara enjoys Teddy for who he is, whether it's hockey star, goofball, or the sexy friend with benefits that she knew way back when. Kendall has done a nice job of bringing their relationship full circle, writing a story that is both sexy and feel-good. Although this is the third book in a series, it is a total standalone, and can be read as such. But I think that you'll love Sara and Teddy so much, that you'll want to read about their friends, too. Go forth and click! ❤️

Teddy is a star player on the hockey team. Sara is an up and coming lawyer. When Teddy has a video that is threatened to be released he counts on Sara’s help to stop the blackmailer. Super steamy second chance romance. Third book in the series, while technically a stand alone it is best read in order. The series is wonderful. Teddy is sweet and alpha at the same time. Sara is driven yet vulnerable. A great romance and a great series!!

I enjoyed this second chance, fake relationship, friends to lovers romance from the first chapter through the end! I love books that have a great mix of humor, heart and heat, and this book definitely did! There wasn’t much drama which was refreshing! I loved that Sara was smart, fierce and confident. Teddy was much more than just a dumb jock; he was also smart, fierce, confident and went after what he wanted. Sara and Teddy had chemistry from the beginning, and I loved reading snippets of their time together in college. They never told each other how they felt in college, and this finally felt like their time. A thoroughly enjoyable read that scored with me! I received a copy of this ebook from the author for my honest review.
