Another hot athlete takes center stage as The Hot Zone series continues. Yank and his nieces are still full force into managing athletes and the like! I enjoyed the continuation of the series, but didn’t connect with Micki and Damian quite as much as I did with Annie & Vaughn in the first book. I still enjoyed them and their story though! Micki Jordan has always been the tomboy of the family, but she’s set her sites on a steamy baseball player, and thinks she’s going to have to pull out all the stops and get a little girly in her appearance to snag him! Damian Fuller noticed Micki even when she wasn’t dolled up, but he knows he’s not the type of man she needs. He’s full-force ahead with his career and can’t afford distractions and she deserves so much more than that. When he has a couple of scandals hit the fan and Micki steps in to help, they can no longer fight their desire for each other and have a fling … but he tries to forget her and continue allegiance to his career soon after it’s through … but life has a way of doing whatever it wants and he finds himself having to follow along and forge a new way of thinking!
  • Smokin' HOT chemistry!!!

This is book 2 in the Hot Zone series and it features the youngest Jordan sister, Micki and baseball player Damien Fuller. The chemistry is smokin' hot between these two and it might actually go somewhere if Damien would stop fighting his attraction to her. All Micki wants is to be seen as a woman and not as just one of the guys. Little does she know Damien is constantly fighting his attraction to the spunky blonde. I LOVE the characters in the series and especially Uncle Yank. Lola has her hands full with him. The series is fun and sexy and deals with some emotional issues with the Jordan sisters. They've been through a lot and Uncle Yank is making sure they're coming out on top of the world!

It has been fun re-reading these older books of Carly Phillips from her Hot Zone series. In this book, the youngest Jordan sister, Micki has always been just one of the guys. Growing up with her Uncle Yank, she enjoyed being with him or playing sports all her life. Now, working in PR Micki loves being around all these guy athletes until she realizes that they don't actually see her a woman but just as one of them, especially Damian Fuller. Micki has had a crush on Damian since they shared that New Year's Eve kiss but unfortunately Damian doesn't even remember the kiss....or does he???? Damian is towards the end of his baseball career and is trying hard to stay playing the game, but due to injuries that has been a hard battle. Since New Year's Eve he can't get Micki Jordan off of his mind when he needs to be concentrating on his career instead. When Micki decides to take matters into her own hands, that's when the fun begins. I loved how Damian really had to restrain himself around Micki! Such great chemistry! When Damian challenges Micki into going to a strip club that's when the fun really begins. I really loved Micki and Damian together.....they just sizzled. I really enjoyed the story these two went through to get to their happy ending. It was a crazy, twisted story. There still is the sub story going on about Uncle Yank and Lola and I'm really enjoying reliving that story too. Two stubborn people who truly belong together.
  • Love Micki and Damian So Hot!!

Outrageously Fun, Sexy, Emotional and Entertaining Story of a Tomboy finding her forever love and her feminine side while a boy (baby of the family) raised in a family full of girls used to getting everything he wants finds he has to fight to get the one woman he has ever really wanted. Loved that Yank and Lola's love story was also continued in this book and was very interesting to read play out. Micki grows up as a tomboy always keeping to her Uncle's side and following his every foot step, as an adult she finds herself as stamped with the "just one of the guys" and it is both good and horribly bad. Damian is your typical mega rich playboy athlete enjoying a successful carrier and party boy personal life (or so it would seam from the outside). These two (baby of the family) hard headed, compassionate people where made to make each other better. Highly entertaining to read and looking forward to the next Hot Zone adventure.

I adore all of the Jordan sisters, but had a special place for tomboy Micki from the moment we met her. I totally got the whole being every guys best friend and them all treating her like one of the guys as she was pretty much raised in the locker rooms. I loved when she finally decided to make changes in her appearance, she went to her sister Sophie and while she remained the same Micki she always was, she turned into a total hottie. I really love getting to spend time with the Jordan sisters in each book and it was awesome to see Sophie and Micki grow closer in Hot Number. I'm just going to put it out there. I absolutely adore that Uncle Yank has picked out guys for each of his girls. The fact he made sure Micki was working with Damian and then made sure they ended up on Damian's private island together. Seriously Yank has the best interest at heart for his girls and is great and finding them great guys. The chemistry between Damian and Micki was smoking hot. I also loved how protective Damian was of Micki. I really liked that both Damian and Micki accepted each other just as they were. Yes Damian loved Micki's makeover, but he was every bit as attracted to her before as he was after. I really loved Damian and Micki as a couple. There was both a sweetness and a sexiness to their relationship that made me fall in love with them together. Hot Number was another winner in the updated Hot Zone books. Carly Phillips already had the base of an absolutely wonderful series that was only made better by updating. I am loving my visit back to the Hot Zone books and look forward to soon reading both Hot Item and Hot Property. Rating: 5 Stars (A)

Carly Phillips know how to write hot, sexy romance books and this will make you want to read more of her books! ! ! Hot Number is the second book in the Hot Zone series. This is about Micki and Damien and the ever meddling Uncle Yank…who owns a PR firm called The Hot Zone. Micki Jordan (now grown and a Publicist at The Hot Zone) and Damien Fuller a professional baseball player who isn’t ready to give up the sport. Micki has the hots for Damien but she thinks he sees her as “one of the boys” and would never be drawn to the “tomboy” she thinks she is…. Damien Fuller is on the downhill slide of the end of his career and doesn’t know what is in store for him for the rest of his life until his ex-girlfriend tells him she is pregnant…..but is it his??? He needs help so put a ‘good spin’ on this and so enters his publicist, Micki….while they work together things start to heat up for them but with his ex in the picture will it all end in a broken play. With all the drama, angst, heartache, insecurities and lots of romance along with catching up with the characters in book 1 and the continuing saga with Uncle Yank will these two hit a homerun or will it just be a fly ball????
  • A Really Hot Number

I truly enjoyed reading Hot Number, the second book in Carly Phillips’ Hot Zone series, once again. I loved how Micki Jordan, the youngest of the sisters and a tomboy, stood up to Damian Fuller despite her insecurities and the fact that she really cared for the man. Micki has always felt like she was one of the guys, not noticed by the womanizing baseball player, until a New Year’s Eve kiss which sparks feelings for these two. As these two spend time together with Micki helping Damian out with some bad publicity, Damian realizes that Micki really is a “Hot Number”, and those real feelings he has for her and that’s not his usual M.O. This book is not the sexy story as are Phillips’ more recent books, but still has those loveable characters that you want to cheer on, hoping for their happy ending. The characters were well written and authentic. The story line was riveting and kept my attention to the very end. I genuinely enjoyed reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. I highly recommend this book to other readers. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
  • My very first romance book!

Hot Number will always always ALWAYS hold a special place in my heart because it was the very first romance book I ever read. This story introduced me to a whole new world! When I think of book boyfriends, one of the men that will always top my list will be Damian Fuller. Hot Number is book 2 in the Hot Zone series and Uncle Yank has his sights on his niece Micki's happily ever after. Micki is one of the guys. Always has been. But that doesn't stop her from wanting the sexiest baseball player on the team. She knows she's going to need to be a bit more feminine to catch Damian's eye, but what she doesn't realize is that he's had his eye on the sexy publicist all along. These two had an attraction like no other. The sexiness, love, laugh out loud moments and drama in this book made it one to remember long after you finished. It's a re-read for me many times over! ;) Happy reading!

This is my favorite book in the hot zone series. Micki Jordan is the Tom boy who is tired of by just one of the boys and Damien Fuller is the center fielder that is near the end of his career that isn't ready it give up. But when they end up working together can they deny their chemistry and is there more than just a lost weekend. I loved this book because Carly Phillips brings great story of love and some quick funny lines also. Definitely read or reread this book.
