Description

I should have resisted him, but I was too weak to fight the devil himself.
And Tyler Burnham is the devil.
He used me.
He lied to me.
But he loved me. And he still does.

Mackenzie Delano never wants to hear the name Tyler Burnham again.

Never wants to feel her soul ignite from his simple touch.

Never wants to be reminded of how foolish she was to let him into her life and her heart.

Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as she wishes. Not when he managed to do the one thing she never thought possible…

He taught her how to love again.

Except none of it was real.

Or so she thinks...

Tyler Burnham thought he experienced loss and heartache before, but that was nothing compared to the excruciating pain consuming him every minute of every day since he watched Mackenzie walk out of his life.

As he tries to make peace with the role he played in betraying her trust, he tries to find a way to prove that his feelings for her are true.

That the love they shared is real.
That he would walk through fire to keep her at his side.
That he would sacrifice it all...his career, his fortune, his life...to protect her.
That he would gladly slay the dragons that have tormented her for too long now.

As he digs deeper into the conspiracy surrounding her father and the tangled web of secrets unravels, he realizes he may just have to.

Slaying the Dragon is the jaw-dropping conclusion to T.K. Leigh's Deception Duet, part of the Beautiful Mess Series. Grab your copy today.

Slaying the Dragon is probably the most anticipated book of the year...and I must say that T.K. Leigh definitely delivered. The sheer brilliance that exudes from each and every page will astound you from the moment you start reading this captivating book. Get ready because T.K. Leigh not only creates a captivating story, but weaves a spell binding web that will keep you glued to the edge of your chair the entire time. Slaying the Dragon opens with Mackenzie's pain and devastation something we are all too aware of from Chasing the Dragon. What I love about T.K. is her ability to connect a reader and a character. I felt Mack's emotions I cried with her, was angry with her, shocked and surprised with her. It was a never-ending roller-coaster ride of emotions and I wouldn't change it for the world. I was hoping to see Tyler right away from the beginning and get right to it and figure this out but T.K. had other plans. Slaying The Dragon is a slow build like a graceful couple on a dance floor you could watch for hours waltzing their way around the ballroom. It was a necessary build for the way the story went and I was not disappointed at all. I feel like everything was wrapped up in a nice tight little package. I didn't think it was possible but I fell even more in love with the characters of this book. The chemistry between Tyler and Mackenzie is so incredible and you truly want things to work out for them you're rooting for them from the beginning. You will fall in love with Tyler Burnham from the moment your eyes touch the page. He will become your wildest dreams, your guilty pleasure, your indulgence. Your new book boyfriend, other book boyfriends will just have to take a backseat because the younger Mr. B is definitely taking the reigns now. The ending definitely was my favorite part I love how it was all wrapped up. The twists and turns that T.K. threw in completely shocked me but that's normal she usually shocks me in the most fantastic way. I was glued to my kindle from the moment I opened it and couldn't get enough of this incredibly deceptive world and by the time it was over my head was reeling with the fact that...it truly is over this is The End.
